2000V Industrial Grade Cable with EPDM Insulation and Copper Conductor for Heavy-Duty Applications

Heavy-duty industrial cable designed for flexible, portable, and extra-hard usage applications requiring equipment grounding per NEC Article 400.

• Conductor: Bare, soft drawn, annealed, flexible, rope-lay stranded copper per ASTM B3/B172
• Separator Tape: Non-conducting tape applied between conductor and insulation to facilitate stripping
• Insulation: Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM). Color coded black, white, blue, red for sizes #4/0 and smaller; black, white, red, orange for sizes over 250 kcmil
• Ground Conductors: Four insulated, bare, soft drawn, annealed, rope stranded, flexible lay copper per ASTM B3/B172
• Fillers: Jute fillers applied as needed to round the cable core
• Reinforcement Binder: Reinforcing binder with twine applied over the core
• Jacket: Black, flame resistant, thermosetting Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE)

Southwire Type G cable is suitable for continuous submersion in water - ideal for submersible pumps and marine applications. Also suitable for use in light to medium-duty mining applications. Features include sunlight and oil resistance, high flexibility, and easy handling in cold conditions. Not for use as permanent building wiring.
